Day 1
Upon your arrival, our local expert along with our dedicated team will greet you at the airport. We’ll then escort you to your hotel. In the evening, join us for a welcome dinner, where you’ll meet the entire group that will be part of this incredible journey.
Day 2
Our adventure continues to the Sarapiqui region. We’ll traverse through Braulio Carrillo, a breathtaking national park. Here, you’ll have the chance to photograph the vibrant emerald toucan, the stunning motmot, and more. The lush landscapes will leave you in awe. As night falls, we’ll explore the forest, seeking out frogs, snakes, and the diverse wildlife of the rainforest.
Day 3
Today, we’ll visit a venture run by a delightful Costa Rican family. On their property, you can photograph over 20 bird species, including woodpeckers, red-legged honeycreepers, toucans, tanagers, hummingbirds, and more.
Day 4
The morning offers a chance to capture images of the Savegre River, the lush property vegetation, and the diverse birds and animals that join us for breakfast. Later, we’ll head to Boca Tapada. As night envelops us, get ready for an exhilarating bat photography session.
Day 5
On our boat tour of the San Carlos River, expect to see crocodiles, howler monkeys, and birds like the tiger heron, great blue, and kingfisher. The natural vistas are truly mesmerizing.
Day 6
This photo session is dedicated to the majestic King Vulture. This magnificent bird will dominate your camera’s lens and leave you in awe.
Day 7
Embark on a mesmerizing journey through the tranquil waters of Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge, one of Costa Rica’s most diverse and untouched sanctuaries. As you navigate the waterways, capture the essence of this pristine paradise, brimming with wildlife and verdant flora.
Day 8
Today, we return to San Jose, taking a break at a typical local restaurant. During our lunch, you’ll have the opportunity to photograph at least 15 bird species, including hummingbirds, tanagers, and the yigüirro (the national bird of Costa Rica). Don’t miss the chance to see one of the most beautiful sights in Costa Rica.
This addition enhances the itinerary by highlighting a unique cultural experience and providing more opportunities for bird photography.
Day 9
After sharing this unforgettable journey and experiencing countless unique moments, we’ll escort you to the airport. It’s time to bid farewell and head home!
