The Founder’s Edition is the highest level of Physis B2B involvement. It means Andy Bezara — founder, professional photographer, and Costa Rica field expert — travels with your group for the duration of the program, working alongside you in every location, every morning, every field session.
This is not a standard guided tour with a local guide added. It is a co-leadership model designed specifically for professional tour leaders who want a trusted local partner beside them in the field, not managing things from a desk.
The Division of Roles
The Founder’s Edition works because the two roles are clearly defined and genuinely complementary.
Your role as tour leader: You own the creative and educational relationship with your photographers. You design the shooting objectives, guide the photographic decision-making, teach technique, provide critique, and deliver the experience your clients came to travel with you for. That is yours entirely.
Andy’s role in the field: Andy handles the logistics that would otherwise pull you out of your role. He reads light and weather conditions and adjusts field timing accordingly. He coordinates with local naturalist guides at each destination. He manages lodge communication, daily scheduling, and transportation. He anticipates problems before they reach your photographers. And as a professional photographer himself, he can support field positioning, habitat knowledge, and species behavior — not to replace your instruction, but to reinforce it.
