This unique lodge offers an unparalleled opportunity to immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of the Arenal region, renowned for its rich biodiversity, stunning flora and fauna, and the majestic Arenal Volcano.

The Majestic Arenal Volcano

Arenal Volcano is one of Costa Rica’s most iconic natural landmarks. Standing at 1,657 meters, this active stratovolcano creates a dramatic backdrop for the lodge.

Though currently in a resting phase, Arenal’s past eruptions have shaped the landscape, creating fertile soils that support a vast array of plant and animal life. Photographers can capture stunning images of the volcano from various vantage points within the lodge’s grounds, making it a perfect spot for both sunrise and sunset shots.

Biodiversity: A Haven for Nature Lovers

The Arenal region is a biodiversity hotspot, and Arenal Observatory Lodge is perfectly situated to offer a front-row seat to this natural wonder.

The lodge is surrounded by primary and secondary rainforests, home to an astonishing variety of wildlife.

Over 500 species of birds have been recorded in the area, making it a bird-watcher’s paradise. Some of the notable species include:
