We live and work in Costa Rica year-round. We are not occasional visitors trying to operate from afar. Depending on the trip, Andy Bezara may personally lead or accompany the journey as photographer and tour leader, especially when a guest wants a travel experience built directly around his presence, vision, and planning approach. On other trips, Physis may operate the program through carefully coordinated local partners and support personnel while maintaining the same photography-first philosophy.

Local naturalist guides

We deeply value Costa Rica’s professional local naturalist guides. They bring field knowledge, regional insight, species awareness, and local context that can transform a photo outing into something far richer. At Physis, naturalist guides are not presented as interchangeable add-ons. They are respected collaborators whose expertise helps create better access, better interpretation, and often better photographic opportunity.
