The Founder’s Edition is a private, custom-made Costa Rica photography journey with Andy Bezara physically present as your host, curator and photographic companion. Local specialists lead the destination activities; Andy connects those sessions into one coherent journey.
What makes Founder’s Edition different
This is the only Physis Travel Style that includes Andy’s physical presence. Before the journey, he interprets your photographic goals and approves the itinerary. In Costa Rica, he accompanies the route, photographs alongside you and helps the experience respond to changing light, weather and field conditions.
That presence does not replace local expertise. Qualified local guides lead the specialized activities in their destinations, bringing current knowledge of access, habitat and wildlife behavior. Andy works alongside them and helps connect each session to the priorities of the overall journey.
Clear roles from planning to the field
Physis Photo Tours designs, reserves, confirms and operates the complete program. Andy is the host, curator and photographic partner. The relevant local specialist leads each destination activity. A driver is assigned according to group size.

A journey shaped around your photography
Founder’s Edition is not a fixed departure or preset list of locations. The route is built around subjects, season, desired pace, comfort, mobility, equipment and the interests of everyone traveling. The purpose is not to rush between sightings, but to create a realistic sequence of habitats and field opportunities.
Wildlife, weather, light and photographic results cannot be guaranteed. The value lies in preparation, local relationships, flexible operation and Andy’s ability to interpret the photographer’s priorities throughout the journey.
Limited by real availability
Because Andy is physically present, Founder’s Edition is available only when he can personally commit to the dates. If he is leading another program, this style is not available for that period. The other Costa Rica Photography Travel Styles retain Andy’s personal curation and the same Physis Seal without promising his presence.
Local specialists remain essential
Physis selects the right specialist for each destination and activity. The Physis Local Guide Network is central to the journey, not an optional add-on. Andy’s role is to integrate those local sessions, contribute photographic judgment and remain attentive to how the whole itinerary is working for the guest.

How large can the group be?
The journey is private and group arrangements are confirmed case by case. Group size affects vehicle choice, driving roles, guide ratios and field logistics.
Are wildlife sightings guaranteed?
No. Physis plans carefully and works with current local knowledge, but wildlife, weather, light and photographic results cannot be guaranteed.
